The Neutrik 'Speakon' XX series loudspeaker/amplifier connectors are robust, versatile easy to assemble, and are used extensively by amplifier and loudspeaker manufacturers as their standard connector.

The contacts are designed to operate with high currents and inductive loads, and to prevent any damage from arcing when disconnected under load. All contacts are touch-proof and the connectors meet the requirements of IEC61984. Contacts are rated to 37A RMS 250VAC (unless stated otherwise).

The XX series 'Speakons' have a locking boot to protect against unintended opening and slip resistant two-compound housing to improve handling and daily operation. They are easier to assemble than the original 'Speakon' series since the strain relief chuck snaps to the insert, allowing for a faster and smoother assembly. Wire size: 1.5 - 4mm2. Dialectric strength: 2.8kVac. Lifetime: Typically 5000 mating cycles. Termination: Screw type terminals.
