A laminated body made of okoume produces warm midrange frequencies that decay long into the overtones due to a hair-thin matte finish. Thanks to a Nyatoh neck with a corresponding fretboard, the instrument can be played in combination with a generous cutaway up to the highest of the 20 frets in an obliging and clean way.
